D01 Kunming Arrival (D)
On arrival in Kunming, meet your guide and transfer to hotel.
D02 Kunming-Stone Forest-Kunming (B, D)
Drive about 1.5 h to Stone Forest.
An extremely rare geological phenomenon dating back to 270 million years ago, the Stone Forest is 80 hectares of karst limestone pillars in fantastic shapes that resemble a forest viewed from a distance. The Stone Forest is also home to the Sani tribe, a branch of the diverse and scattered Yi minority renowned for their diligence, embroidery and dancing.


D03 Kunming-Dali (B, D)
Take the morning High-speed train to Dali (2hours).
Explore in the Dali Ancient Town with a history of 1,300 years, which is the home to Bai minority. The town, whose format is like a chess board with four gates guarding in the four directions, stands between Cangshan Mountains and Erhai Lake, a natural configuration that seems specially designed for a good bountiful life.


D04 Dali (B, D)
Proceed to visit the Three Pagodas, followed by a 1.5 hours cruise on the Erhai Lake (named for its ear-like shape). Visit the Bai minority’s village and market, and taste the Bai’s Three-Course Tea.


D05 Dali-Lijiang (B, D)
Overland drive 2.5 hours to Lijiang.
Upon arrival, visit the Lijiang Ancient Town and the Royal Mu Palace.
A gathering place of the Naxi minority, Lijiang Ancient Town is a mountain town of stone and tile, laced with canals and lanes, which has been listed as an UNESCO world monument. The ancient town is in the form of an official ink stone. Unlike most of the old towns in China, there is no city wall due to a superstitious belief of the local ruler whose family name is Mu (tree), when encircled by walls, would be Kun (besieged).


D06 Lijiang (B, D)
A whole day tour to the Black Dragon Pond with Dongba Culture Museum, Baisha Frescos, Yuhu village and Shuhe Ancient Town.
The Black Dragon Pond, surrounded by walkways, willows and chestnut trees, is the best known and most frequently visited park in Lijiang. The Five phoenixes Pavilion built in early 17th century possesses intricately joined and beautifully painted eaves. North of Lijiang County finds the Liulidian and Daobaoji Temple at Baisha village, housing 558 mural painting on 12 walls that date back to the Ming Dynasty in 1385.


D07 Lijiang Departure (B)
Transfer to Lijiang Airport for departure flight.
