Punjab –The name Punjab is derived from two Persian words, Punj – five and aab – water. The state is also known as “the land of five rivers” - Ravi, Beas, Chenab, Sutlej and Jhelum. The state is renowned for its cuisine, culture and history. Punjab tourism receives millions of religious tourists to holiest places in Sikhism, including the Harmandir Sahib and three of the five Panj Takht.
