Local language is Marathi. Maharashtra is famous for its cuisines.
Gujarati culture is influenced by Parsis, believed to be migrated to Gujarat around a 1000 years ago. Gujarat state is famous for many world-known festivals such asRann Utsav, International Kite Festival and Global Garba.
Goa's culture is influenced by Indian and Portuguese cultures. The state is popular amongst tourists for its beaches, Goan cuisine, temples, churches and architecture. The Churches and Convents of Goa have been declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
